Job Description:

DUTIES PERFORMED:

 

  1. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.

  2. Answer alarms and investigate disturbances. Obtains help by sounding alarms and/or calling 911.

  3. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.

  4. Controls traffic by directing drivers.

  5. Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.

  6. Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.

  7. Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.

  8. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  9. Travel between NHFHS sites to ensure that standard concepts, practices and procedures for security and safety are being kept.

  10. Assists with the completion of bank deposits at all sites on a regular basis.

  11. Assists Facilities Director with conducting and recording Fire Drills for each location at least twice yearly.

  12. Observes schedule for work, breaks, and lunch.

  13. Must hold all patient Protected Health Information (PHI) other patient personal information and agency information in confidence, in accordance with the attached Employee Confidentiality Statement, which I have read, understand and signed.

  14. Actively participates in and complies with all aspects of the NHFHS Corporate compliance Program, follow the Program Code of Conduct and obey all relevant laws, statutes, regulations and requirements applicable to Medicaid, Medicare and other State and Federal health care programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

High School graduate; or GED 

 

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Security Guard or in a related area.

  • Must be capable of understanding and carrying out routine instructions.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as work hours may not always be uniformed or prescribed.

  • Must be familiar with standard security concepts and procedures.

  • Must have the physical capacity to perform required tasks.

  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the community.

  • Must have pleasant personality; must be dependable.

  • Works under general Supervision.

  • Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions and provide information.

  • Must have a SC driver’s license with no serious violations.
