Job Description:

New Horizon Family Health Services (NHFHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that has been improving the health of the communities we serve since 1992. Details:

  • Under the supervision of the Mallard Site Manager, the Health Information Management Clerk performs all necessary processes required by the HIM Department and is responsible for the timely accurate processing of patient health information records and ensuring the release of such information in accordance with applicable laws.

 

 

Experience and Skills:

Education:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate Degree in Health Information Management, knowledge of medical terminology or certification in a medical field.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must possess good communication skills, computer skills, and general knowledge of general office practices and protocols
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multitask
  • Must be able to work with numbers and files
  • Must exercise sound judgment and discretion when dealing with patient information
  • Must be able to follow detailed verbal and written instructions
