Details:

• Under the direct supervision of the Site Manager or Practice Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patient appointments.  The Scheduler interacts with patients/visitors in a courteous, appropriate, respectful manner at all times and without exception.  This position receives incoming calls and routes appropriately.  The Scheduler shall take messages when necessary and shall forward such to the intended party in a timely, responsible manner.  This position performs the following duties in accordance with the established policy and procedures of New Horizon Family Health Services.

Experience and Skills:

Education:

• High School Diploma and education certificate with six experience in Unit Secretary Training, Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Emergency Medical Technician or Medical Assisting

Knowledge and Skills:

• Two years of experience in medical office, managing multiple phone line usage or a related medical office area
• Working knowledge of Electronic Health Records
• Has the ability to speak and communicate effectively with co-workers, patients, and the public
• Has a pleasant personality, pleasing, professionally appearance and disposition
• Must demonstrate excellent spelling and speaking correctly and grammatically correct
