Details:

• Under the general clinical supervision of the assigned dentist the part time dental hygienist provides support to facilitate the assessment, dental hygiene diagnosis, and treatment of patients at New Horizon Family Dental Care.  Additionally the part time dental hygienist assists in the supervision of dental hygiene students rotating at the dental office.

Experience and Skills:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Dental Hygienist course and radiography certificate

 Licensure/Certification:

• Must be SC Licensure as a Dental Hygienist

 Knowledge and Skills:

• One year working experience working as Dental Hygienist
• Must be computer literate and have experience using dental electronic systems and using digital radiography system
• Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and sometimes confidential situations, and demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy
• Must possess ability to communicate and work effectively with other employees and visitors
• Must have the ability to maintain integrity, confidentiality, and work under pressure to meet the clinic requirements and satisfy the patients
